Stunning antique canary yellow (vaseline) color berry bowl. Pattern #88 is most often called by its descriptive name Daisy & Button. Features an eight-sided shape and an all-over daisy & button design.
The pattern was introduced in 1884 by Elson Glass and came in several sizes. Elson Glass Company operated until 1893. This link show an advertisement for the bowl in 1886. The American Potter and Illuminator, April 1886
It glows with an intense apple-green glow under UV light due to the uranium compounds that give the glass its color.
The bowl measures approx. 5" in diameter by 2.25" tall to the highest points.
It is in great condition with no cracks, scratches, repairs or discoloration. One of the bigger corners is chipped (see photos) as well as a smaller corner.
